Most AI animal-video guides assume only animals are on screen. This one is about the hand.
Animal bond shorts — a rescued fox, a shelter cat, a wild neighbour that finally comes close — are
one of the highest-performing emotional genres on YouTube. They are also the hardest to generate,
because the moment that makes them work is a person touching an animal, and that is exactly where
AI video breaks.
This is the production standard from a working channel, generalised into 12 Claude Code skills.
Built and measured on the Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 families. The routing rules are
written as properties, so they carry over to other AI filmmaking engines.
WHAT BREAKS IN THIS GENRE — AND WHAT'S IN THE PACK FOR IT
• Six fingers, fingers melting into fur → positive count locks, never negations
• A different person in every shot → a second master reference for the human
• A face that mushes into something ghostly → show it or remove it, never half-hidden
• The hand passes through the animal → four contact-prompt rules + forced high-tier routing
• The animal teleports into frame → frame the still at the instant BEFORE touching
• A back view turns and becomes a stranger → i2v has no face reference; avoid the motions that break identity
There is a dedicated "contact" field: when the script declares a shot as touching, i2v force-promotes
it to the expensive model. Everywhere else the routing pushes work down to the cheap tier — the
majority of shots in a normal episode.
THE 12 SKILLS
topic radar → research → script → TTS → stills → i2v → subtitles → render → QA → upload,
plus a pipeline map and a channel constitution. Each one is self-contained.
ENGLISH ARITHMETIC, WORKED OUT
Every length rule is word-based (about 2.6 words/sec), bounded on both sides, and derived rather than
asserted — the pack shows you WHY the script total is 48 seconds and what breaks at 47 or 49.
HONEST NOTICE
• This is a methodology, not a program. Claude Code performs it; you supply the generation credits.
• English channels only — the arithmetic differs by language.
• Web search is genuinely required (the research gate demands sources).
• This genre puts AI-generated people on screen; disclosure compliance is yours.
• No revenue or outcome is guaranteed.
